Tips and Tricks to a long road of successful drag box uses.
- Inspect drag box rear screed before using so ensure it is clean and clear of any previous asphalt.
- Spray inside of the drag box with your choice of anti asphalt sticking solution.
- Ensure chains and clevises are in good operational condition.
- Raise or lower asphalt drag box to desired height once it is placed into position. Raising and lowering the box before it is full will reduce stress to the lifting jacks.
- In cold weather preheating the rear screed is recommended to ensure perfect screeding from the start.
